Before plumbing and running water, a tub in front of the fire (usually in the kitchen) would be filled with buckets of heated water. The 1920’s and 30’s saw the start of the bathroom as a separate room in the house and since then bathroom design has become an industry that is growing more every year. The 1980’s saw the boom of the Bathroom era and interior designers, architects, and product manufacturers saw the potential of the bathroom as an important room for lifestyle and relaxation.
